Big day SGT OJ!

1. Mission Maker Award — for making his yearly recruiting mission early! What made this one special was that everyone on the team had input on the items inside, making it a true team recognition of his accomplishment.

2. Quarter Award Winner — 4 quarters in a row! The flag carries the words “Take What Is Yours,” a motto that has become meaningful to our team. Winning this award four straight quarters shows that OJ continues to set the standard.

3. Fight to the 15th Award — earned by putting 3 enlistments in before the 15th. The axe represents putting in the work, attacking the mission, and getting after it when it matters.

Excellence is our legacy! Recently multiple of our former RSP recruits competed in the Illinois army national guard combatives tournament.

It was the 2026 Illinois Army national guard Adjutant Generals Combatives tournament host at American jujutsu in Springfield Illinois. This was 2 day tournament style event for service members to demonstrate a their MACP skills to see who is the best. This was also a state wide battalion competition. With a team event that evolved using proper MACP skills to execute a security checkpoint inspection in a vehicle. This resulted the 2/130th Infrantry battalion to take first in the event.

Congratulations to SPC Madinger and SPC Erye of HHC, 2-130th, and SGT Ski of D Co, 2-130th, for taking 1st place in their respective weight classes!

This is not so much a testament to the success of Whiskey Company but 2-130th and the fine culture they’ve cultivated there. These soldiers may have started with us but this excellence has continued wherever they go! These Soldiers showed up ready to compete and represented the 2-130th with strength, discipline, and a winning mindset. Great job gentlemen!

Another outstanding drill weekend in the books for the Warriors! 🪖

Saturday was packed with valuable training as our Soldiers sharpened their knowledge through SHARP and EO briefings, learned the fundamentals of properly packing a ruck, they got the opportunity to actually complete a ruck with their recently packed equipment, and strengthened their mental toughness with resiliency training. These classes build disciplined, prepared, and resilient Soldiers who are ready for whatever comes next.

Sunday, our Warriors put those lessons into action with water survival training, challenging themselves both mentally and physically while building confidence in the water. They swam with their weapons and rucks and even completed a relay race in the water to finish strong!

Warriors fight. Warriors win. Congratulations to everyone who reached another milestone this weekend. The future of Whiskey Company is looking stronger than ever.

A huge congratulations goes out to PFC Lammers, who earned the title of Iron Soldier over her entire AIT company of 198 Soldiers! This is an incredible accomplishment that reflects the dedication and grit we strive for every day!

Building tomorrow’s leaders starts long before they put on the uniform.

This week, SGT Bevis had the opportunity to spend time at the Christopher High School Football Camp, helping young athletes sharpen their skills, build confidence, and reinforce the values that lead to success both on and off the field.

From discipline and teamwork to perseverance and leadership, these athletes put in the work and showed exactly what it means to rise to a challenge. We’re proud to support our local communities and invest in the next generation.

Guard Dogs getting it done❗️

This week, members of the Whiskey Company team had the opportunity to spend time with the Carbondale High School football team, putting them through a challenging workout that tested both their physical and mental toughness.

These athletes embraced every challenge, refused to back down, and showed exactly what it means to push through adversity. We appreciate the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated group of young men.

For 250 years, Americans have carried that dream forward. Ours is not a perfect nation, but it is one that has never stopped striving to become better. With each generation, we work to build on the foundation laid before us, preserving the freedoms we enjoy while creating new opportunities for those who follow.

Warriors fight, Warriors win. Combatives training here at Whiskey Co was a major success. Our Warriors gave it their all during combatives training, pushing themselves physically and mentally while sharpening their skills. Lethality runs through our bloodline. Discipline defines our standard.

We also had the opportunity to recognize our Whiskey Company graduates, celebrate several well-earned promotions, and wish Specialist Whipple a very happy birthday!

Congratulations to all who reached new milestones this weekend. Keep up the great work, Warriors! Finally, we would like to send a special thank you to Marion High school for allowing us to use their facilities!
