We still have Occupant with Autism window decals available for Grant County residents.

These decals are designed to help first responders recognize that someone in the home or vehicle may have autism, allowing deputies, firefighters, EMS, and other emergency personnel to approach situations with better awareness and understanding.

If you are a Grant County resident and would like one, please contact Cassie Korporal at [email protected] so we can work on getting one to you.

We are happy to help get these into the hands of families who may benefit from them.

JUST FYI: We have a couple of employee contractors who will be out inventorying all of our new Kamstrup meters this summer... checking read accuracy, locations, sizes and also functionality. They may be turning on spigots momentarily. The contractors have worked for us before and will have Marion Utilities badges on them.

This week is National EMS Week, and we want to recognize the vital role our EMS partners play in public safety. Whether transporting sick or injured residents and visitors to the hospital, standing by with firefighters during structure fires, or assisting law enforcement personnel as they carry out their duties, EMS professionals are always there when our community needs them most.

We are grateful for the dedication, professionalism, and commitment shown each day by Grant County EMS, Marion Health EMS, Lutheran Air, and StatFlight. Our community is stronger and safer because of your service.

Showers and scattered storms will continue into the evening. A few strong to severe storms are possible through the evening, mainly south of I-70. Damaging winds will be the main threat along with a lower-end threat for flooding or large hail. Isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out across far southern portions central Indiana.
