Sedalia Firefighters Local 103

PSA: It is never acceptable to run over a fire hose . Often times it is necessary to lay a supply line from a hydrant across a road. While SPD does a great job of shutting down the street, often times they can’t block every angle . During a fire tonight , numerous vehicles drove over a charged supply line with fire crews inside the burning structure. This is a life threatening situation when this occurs, as hose lines are literally a “life line” for those inside .

At Tim's visitation this evening.....
This is a photo I took of the Stewart Chapel Fire, on the campus of Missouri Valley College, on the night of February 28, 1973. It was likely one of the more memorable fires the Marshall Fire Department ever fought. I clicked the shutter just as the roof caved into the building sending flames soaring into the air.
