I must be crazy!! For the month of September I am posting a video every day. Most will be impromptu, some scripted but if you are a maker or even thinking about starting a new maker hobby, then you need to check out the series. Lasers, sublimation, UV printing, gold foiling, embossing etc. Follow along and hold me accountable to meet the challenge. Not every video will be shared here so go check out my channel and subscribe so you don't miss a thing. Is that David from The Clack Shack Not me geeking out over one of my favorite YouTube channels or anything. I started watching his channel when I was just getting into lasers and transitioning from a CNC. I actually found The Clack Shack from an old CNC video. I actually spent a lot of time talking to him on the first night. I didn’t even know he was behind me. I was waiting for an interview from XTool and people were asking me questions about the new X1 because I was standing there. I guess the hat made them think I actually knew what was going on. I spent over an hour inspecting the newly announced XTool X1 and I have all the details. If you are looking for the launch video be sure to continue to my playlist after watching this one. This new Maxine will offer 5 lasers with one base model. They are labeling it as all in one but that is a little misleading. It has two built in lasers diode, and CO2. The rest are swappable modules or “backpacks”, Fiber, MOPA, and UV. Expected launch is October. Tell me in the comments, are you interested in getting this new machine? I think this will be the future of lasers from XTool.

This weekend was REFRESHING despite my exhaustion from long days. I spent a lot of time soaking up every bit of knowledge at the XTool booth xToolOfficial If you are a small business owner I highly recommend XTool. I have 4 different machines and they complement my work flow. They also provide great resources for Small Businesses. The SMB Summit presentation at Next Level Maker Conference reinforced my confidence in my abilities and helped rejuvenate my excitement about the upcoming fall craft season. This weekend has been all about getting refreshed in business, in ourselves and in our lives. My wife supports my business and all my crazy ideas but it is also important for her to refresh as well. The zoo is her happy place and we try to find one every time we travel. So while I geek out about new tools and chat with fellow small business owners and makers, she is looking for the hippos and zebras. I can’t wait to see her pictures and the ornament she will buy (the one I could have made 😂). Take some time to go find your hippo or whatever your favorite thing is and REFRESH!

For those who are interested in the new XTool X1 I spent about an hour with the reps on site at the Next Level Maker Conference. Here is what I know - 5 different lasers, about the size of the P2S, work area around 12x24. The CO2 is a fixed head. The rest are swappable backpacks that feed through the same galvo head. Had a good chat with Stein from XTool. xToolOfficial This is him with his shirt he made on the Omni O1 UV/DT model. A lot of great things at the XTool booth. I have no complaints about any of their products and they have items for every level of maker, from crafter to small business.
