Many teens are dealing with anxiety, depression and many other mental health concerns which can be challenging, frightening and even destructive.
The Girl and Boy Succeed Mentoring Academy is committed to rescuing and empowering our youth through our “TEENS NEEDS SELF CARE TOO” six week therapy sessions. These life changing sessions have been designed to help take teens from self-depression to building higher self esteem by initiating and developing stronger self-care habits. Join us tonight as we discuss and share vital ways to address some of these most vital life changing issues. We recognize these concerns can be challenging however, we believe if we don’t confront the challenges we can never expect changes.

We will be featuring a remarkable local nonprofit called LemonAid of River Forest. Established in 2002, this organization was born out of a heartfelt response to the tragic events of September 11.

LemonAid's mission is to transform lemonADE into lemonAID, and they do so by raising awareness and funds for a local charity that focuses on serving children. Their dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of young ones is truly inspiring.

During this episode, we will delve into LemonAid's incredible journey, exploring the various initiatives they have undertaken and the impact they have made on the local community. From creative fundraising events to engaging campaigns, LemonAid has found innovative ways to support children in need.

I would like to thank all of those who contributed to and supported our Safe Summer Initiative. Because of you, we were able to enroll several youth into our entrepreneurial camp and our internship program.

For almost eight years, we have been fortunate enough to provide this opportunity to the youth of our community. In doing so, we believe that we have set a standard. That is, our programs are funded not by grants or loans, but by the community. I have nothing against grants or loans they have their place in community.

But at some point, I believe we have to rely upon the efficacy of God and the efficiency of community. Such as churches, not-for-profits, community agencies and the average citizen.

I would like to think that over the eight years, we have tapped into the power of transformative communal thought. With this form of thinking, we dispel that baneful myth that we are a poor community. This is a myth!

It’s amazing to me how we are so quick to claim that we live in a poor community, but yet every other group that setup shop in our community, they get rich!!

We must learn to be creative and self sufficient. Don’t make the government your daddy!! Let’s embrace the spirit of “Black Wall Street!”

Lastly, it is important that we display for our children how we the adults will work together and use our talents and resources to CREATE for them economic opportunities and safety during the summer.

That’s what we do! With God’s help, we will continue to do it!! Again, thank you 🙏🏾

You are strength, you are tenacity, you are proof that God’s grace is sufficient. May His continual blessings be eveident in your life as you continue to build, strengthen and produce for His Kingdom. To God be the Glory for the many things HE has allowed you to accomplish in your lifetime and for the many things to come. Certainly, your latter shall be great!

When you know your real freedom you are free everyday! For whom the son has set free is free indeed! IJohn 3:36

Free means not under control or in the power of another. You may be experiencing a crises in this season of your life. Life issues and circumstances may seem like it’s controlling you. As believers we must hold on to God’s unchanging word. We must know that the “SON” has set us FREE!

Know that as a believers, you are a CHRIST FOLLOWER. Therefore, you are in CHRIST. When you’re in Christ, life crises can’t defeat you.

They may come but they won’t defeat you. Why? Because no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Isaiah 54:17
It may come but they won’t defeat you. Why? Because greater is He that is in you. IJohn 4:4

Why?
Because God is the greatest power you will never be defeated!

You are free! Therefore decree on this EVERYDAY that you are free! Don’t hold on to anything that keeps you bound. Let it go in Jesus Name! The “ SON” has set you free!

You independently have a choice to depend on Jesus!
Let me reiterate,  when you’re in Christ, crises can’t defeat you.

You are free!

FESTIVAL. Wow! What a phenomenal event!
Our PTMAN table staff was delight to share information about our organization as well as our upcoming someone initiative program and car wash. One of the highlights at our table was visitors had an opportunity to see HOW MUCH THEY KNOW ABOUT JUNETEENTH by participating in the PTMAN COMMUNITY PRIDE INITIATIVE online Juneteenth quiz. We had 17 ppl to participate onsite.

It was an amazing sight to witness the power of Iron Sharpening Iron.
The spirit was high and the worship was real as Fathers/Brothers came together before thee almighty Father at The First Annual PTMAN-Proviso Township Ministerial Alliance Network “Pre-Father’s Day Prayer Gathering”.

PTMAN Chairman Bishop Reginald J. Saffo set the atmosphere for Repentance and Restoration sharing thoughts on the importance of spiritual and moral headship that’s essential to family stability.

We are grateful to all guest, each presenter & the presence of the Holy Spirit. We’re grateful to DJ Brandon sound system, Praise & Worship leader Maestro Zay, soloist Pastor Johnny Harris, Prayer Warrior, Bishop James Springfield. School Dist. 88 Principal Javin Cotton, the PTMAN cabinet members participation from Bishop Thomas Clark, Bishop William Teague and all our prolific presenters Pastor Elect Albert Johnson, Pastor Jerry J. Barker, Bro. Rodney Alexander Professor Uriah Berryhil and powerful keynote speaker Pastor Chauncey Brown. Thank you to each of you! Your strong Godly characters and the consistency in the powerful content shared from each of you along with the Fatherhood Pledge lead by our Chief of Staff, Rev. Lorenzo Webber certainly empowered fathers to acknowledge, accept and come in full alignment with their divine role of fatherhood as the head of his household and the strength of his community. What an amazing night! Happy Father’s Day to all our amazing Fathers!

Saffo as he was the guest of the Honorable Speaker of the House, Chris Welch where he graciously extended the honors of opening the Governor's Address with the invocation. It was only fitting, as Bishop Saffo also had the honors to bless House Speaker Welch Westchester office 10 years ago when he was first elected.

Truly both are commemorative treasured occasions and extraordinary honors as well. "We're Proviso Proud of the Speaker of the House!" We are also Godly proud of our PTMAN Chairman Dr. Reginald J. Saffo. TO GOD BE THE GLORY for what has been, is and what’s to come!

Eligibility:

16 to 24 years old
Live in Suburban Cook County
Have been affected by COVID-19 ( directly or indirectly)
Details of the program:

7 weeks total, will start June 13th
1st week will be foundational skills training, customers can join virtually. These hours will be paid!
Week 2 through 7, customers will work with a local employer, 25 hours per week, Pay rate is $15.00/hr

If customer’s are 18 to 24, customers might be eligible for additional career and training services

If someone is interested, they can simply click on the link below and choose “Business and Career Services Inc.” as their preferred agency to work with OR you can refer them directly to me and I can walk them through the process.
