Eternal Light Community Services Eternal Light Community Services It has provided financial literacy workshops throughout the Chicagoland area.

Since its inception, ELCS has provided tutoring and mentoring services to hundreds of youth and young adults in the Proviso Township area. ELCS has also formed partnerships with agencies such as Proviso-Leyden Council for Community Action (PLCCA), Vision of Restoration, the Maywood Recreation Park District, Toastmasters International, The Destiny Group, NFP and Chicago Commons.

Eternal Light strives to save a community with promise. Proving guidance, instilling self-esteem, and empowering youths, as well as their parents, to invest in themselves and their future assist in strengthening a community.

General information

Dr. Ratliff is the Founder & Executive Director of Eternal Light Community Services in Maywood. He has over 20 years experience in community organizing. Since 1997, Dr. Ratliff has served as a minister at Rock of Ages Baptist Church in Maywood where Marvin E. Wiley is senior pastor. He is a member of the Prayer Warrior Ministry, and teaches various finance and community courses at the church. He is currently employed by North Lawndale Employment Network (NLEN) as a Workforce Development Coach for formerly incarcerated individuals.
