Congratulations to Emily Hansen on a fantastic year as the West Suburban Bar Association President. The WSBA is stronger than ever, with over 200 people attending our recent Judges Night.
As we transition into the new year, my focus as your President is to acquire new members, meet the CLE needs of our association and become a strong voice within the West Suburban legal community, including our base the 4th Municipal District of Cook County. As a solo practitioner practicing in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, I am the epitome of the WSBA’s founding members. This year I strive to make our organization even stronger and more distinguished in the legal community. I also strive to meet the needs of our great membership, so everyone can get the most out of this bar association.
I am working on a lineup of new speakers to cover topics such as the new alimony law, DUI/cannabis, gambling, bankruptcy, and many more. I encourage suggestions from all members on topics for both CLE or presentations to our members.
I know that we are all busy, however, it is only with your support that this association thrives. Attending monthly meetings, have a nice dinner, and connecting with fellow attorneys on professional and personal level is the ultimate goal of the bar association. This year we will provide fun and engaging events for all of our members to enjoy. With that said, we need your patronage and it is never too early to complete the membership renewal for next year. You can utilize our online application using PayPal or you may send a check to 10560 W. Cermak Rd, Westchester Illinois, 60154.
Details to follow regarding January’s CLE Meeting. Have a safe and happy holiday! See everyone in January.
