๐Ÿ’ฆ THANK YOU, OXFORD HOUSE McALESTER! ๐Ÿ’ฆ

Thanks to the generosity of Oxford House McAlester, 191 local children enjoyed free admission to Jeff Lee Pool this week.

Originally planned for the weekend, the sponsorship was extended to Monday after rain forced the pool to close Sunday. The result was 191 young people getting the opportunity to cool off, stay active and make summer memories at no cost to their families.

Community partnerships like this help make recreation more accessible for local families and demonstrate the positive impact organizations can have when they invest back into the community.

McAlester Parks & Recreation extends its appreciation to Oxford House McAlester for making this event possible and helping create a fun summer experience for so many children.

โ˜€๏ธ RAIN CHECK = FREE SWIM TODAY โ˜€๏ธ

Mother Nature had other plans on Sunday, so we're bringing the Oxford House McAlester-sponsored free swim to today, Monday, June 8.

The first 100 children ages 17 and under who visit Jeff Lee Pool today will receive free admission while sponsorship funds are available.

Grab your swimsuit, bring your friends, and enjoy a day at the pool thanks to Oxford House McAlester's commitment to giving back to our community.

๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’š A huge thank you to the McAlester Community Tree Board and the many volunteers who have helped improve Mullen Park and other parks over the years.

From volunteer planting days and beautification projects to the recent โ€œShade and Story: Transforming Mullen Parkโ€ enhancements, these efforts have helped create a more welcoming, shaded, and family-friendly space for the community.

The City of McAlester also wants to thank Parks crews, community partners, and every volunteer who has invested their time and energy into this project. Community improvements like this happen because people care enough to show up and help.

Join us June 23 for โ€œThe Final Pieceโ€ Ribbon Cutting & Dedication celebrating the completion of the Mullen Park improvement project.
