South Texas Communications

South Texas Communications The STC Team will continue to be the Leader in providing the Highest Quality Equipment, Installations, and Service for Public Safety and Commercial.

Since 1961, STC has been the primary service provider for Motorola in the Rio Grande Valley. The company was founded by Harry Ewing and Mike Haden. They opened a small shop on north 10th street in McAllen with B. J. Ewing handling the books. In those days with radio was our primary focus, vacuum tubes and dyna-motors were the latest technology and frequently required service. There were no repeaters, no trunking system and a portable radio was larger than a lunch box. Each company, police or fire department owned their own base station and short tower. Interference, skip non-private channels were accepted as normal. STC has grown over the years. We now have two locations adding Brownsville in 1990. We now service the Public Safety community throughout our primary area of responsibility for Cameron, Willacy, Hidalgo and Starr counties. Technology has changed and STC leads the area in bringing new innovations to the community. Today, STC provides Public Safety Trunking Systems, hi-tech dispatch centers, wide area coverage, mobile data, complete patrol car packaging and much more. We provide products and services from the finest list of vendors available in our business. Over the years, our staff has also grown and is known for the original founding qualities of hard work, honesty and delivering value to our customers.
