Lucky cat: Falling feline gets saved at Miami football game

(AP) — The most notable catch in Saturday's game between No. 22 Miami and Appalachian State didn't even happen on the field. Wasn't even a football. It was a cat.

The animal somehow got into Hard Rock Stadium, then got caught by one of its paws off the facade of the upper deck. It eventually fell to the lower level of the stadium, where fans using an American flag as a makeshift net of sorts were able to safely catch it before it was carried off to safety.

This from our good friends at The National Weather Service in Brownsville, NOAA and The National Hurricane Center.

At 1000 AM CDT, the center of Tropical Storm Nicholas was located by reconnaissance aircraft across the Bay of Campeche. Nicholas is moving toward the north-northwest near 13 mph, and this general motion is expected to continue through tonight.

A slower northward or north- northeastward motion is forecast by late Monday or Monday night. The center of Nicholas will pass near or just offshore the lower Texas coast late Monday, and approach the south or central Texas coast Monday night or early Tuesday.

The biggest impact expected across Deep South Texas is the potential for flooding rains this evening into Tuesday morning. A Flash Flood Watch has been issued.

Tropical Storm force wind gusts are possible Monday afternoon into early Monday night across the lower Texas coast, including South Padre Island and Boca Chica.

Storm surge is expected to peak Monday night into Tuesday morning, especially near high tide. Coastal flooding and beach erosion is possible.

Without the Saudis support from Saudis living in the USA. Sep. 11, 2001 attack would never had taken place. So, the Saudis played a major part in the attack. The enemy from within, is among us.
It is 3:20 pm and that man who has taken Roxanne's place today has just put his foot in his mouth. Tell me Mister, what part of "abortion is the killing of an unborn human being", do YOU NOT understand? You say, we don't know when life begins? REALLY? You don't think a beating heart and brain waves in a human body at any stage of development constitutes a living human being? Do YOU have a beating heart and brain waves? BUT, you argue, I can live out here on my own. I don't depend on another person to live. REALLY? Tell me how long you would last in a closed up room with no oxygen. Tell me how long you could survive without food that is grown and distributed by OTHERS? We spend our entire lives DEPENDING on others for our survival. Does that give them the freedom to take our lives? Sounds like according to YOU, it DOES. As far as masks go. I'll gladly wear one to ensure the peace of mind of those that believe that it will protect them. Except for the N-95 and above masks, NO paper or cloth mask can stop ANY bacteria, much less stop the smaller virus. Feel free to wander into a critical thinking mode once in a while.
I will be glad when Roxanne's substitute is no longer needed. I don't know his name and prefer not to. Any person who can still say that he doesn't know when life begins obviously doesn't believe abortion is the killing of an innocent human being who is condemned by a woman and executed by a murderer for the crime of being alive at an inconvenient time. Please stop saying you are pro-life when you are unwilling to admit that a human being is being killed every time an abortion is performed successfully. Since your opinion of unborn human beings is so poor, I can only imagine what animosity your arrogant heart must hold for those who disagree with you. Personal note: If you still call yourself a Christian, make sure you are not one of the ones who dies and then hears Jesus say, "Get away from Me, I DON"T KNOW you."
Listening to that virologist from A&M who is saying that if everyone gets vaccinated, that will destroy the virus and any mutations coming from it. Then how about Israel, which has over 80% of its people vaccinated? They are STILL experiencing more infections. No, Dr. who-ever- you are, this virus will go on until it has run its course, IF it ever does. Because mutations are forming quickly, the best protection will come from individual immune systems themselves, to be strong enough to fight off any variant that comes along. And the human body's immune response will do more to protect the average healthy person because it can make automatic adjustments to provide more protection as soon as the new invasion is identified than any vaccine can ever do.

Her physician diagnosed her Covid positive by exposure via a video call appt. Since then, she fell and broke her hip and had surgery at DHR Edinburg on Tuesday. She tested negative for Covid there, but prior to her transfer to their rehab facility, on Saturday, she tested positive for Covid. HMMMM~ Can someone please help and explain how this is possible? WHAT!!! 🤪 Jewish House Democrats, Rep. Omar Tangle Anew Over Israel (AP) — A group of Jewish House Democrats are accusing Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of likening the U.S. and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban. The 12 Democrats say her comparison shows prejudice and gives “cover to terrorist groups.” Their criticism comes after Omar asked Secretary of State Antony Blinken about atrocities she says have been committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan and the Taliban. Omar says she was seeking justice for victims of crimes against humanity. She says her critics are using “islamophobic tropes” and harassing her. The incident marks the latest flareup among Democrats over the Middle East.
Up for discussion, is it fair for a company to require its employees to vaccinate against COVID-19, if employee refuses vaccination the company can terminate your employment? What do you think? Houston Hospital Suspends 178 Unvaccinated Employees (AP) — A Houston hospital has suspended 178 employees for two weeks without pay for not complying with demands that they be vaccinated against COVID-19. In a Tuesday memo, Houston Methodist Hospital system CEO Marc Boom said almost 25,000 employees complied with the vaccination requirement, and 27 of the 178 got the first of a two-dose vaccine and won’t be fired if they get their second. The rest are subject to termination. The memo says 285 other employees received medical or religious exemptions, and 332 were deferred for pregnancy or other reasons. The hospital system has been sued by 117 unvaccinated employees.
Ok, we'll just leave this here. 😉...something to think about. TWC: Fear Of Virus Will No Longer Be Valid Excuse For Turning Down Job Offer Unemployed Texans who turn down job offers because they’re afraid of the pandemic will no longer receive unemployment benefits as of June 26th. The Texas Workforce Commission made the announcement this week. Since last year, some jobless people could still qualify for benefits even if they declined a job if the workplace didn’t have proper pandemic precautions in place. A TWC spokesperson says that the rules changed when Gov. Greg Abbott last month announced the removal of pandemic-related federal unemployment aid.
Cornyn Blasts VP Harris For Ignoring Border Republicans like Texas Senator John Cornyn are blasting Vice President Kamala Harris for her failure to visit the U.S. border. Harris is back in D.C. after a trip to Guatemala and Mexico, where she examined what she calls the “root causes” of the current surge in illegal immigration. Harris claims she’s working with Central American countries to improve living conditions in hopes of stopping the ongoing flood of illegal immigrants. Cornyn says the White House is ignoring the border states’ pleas for help.
