We believe in the power of local spaces 🤍
For years, outdoor patios like the one at MIKHUNA have been more than just places to eat, they’ve been places of connection, comfort, and community. Especially during times when gathering safely mattered most, these spaces helped people feel close again. We stand with our fellow local businesses who create welcoming, responsible spaces for families, friends, and even our fur babies 🐾

Supporting local isn’t about conflict it’s about community, conversation, and preserving the places that make our city feel like home. We’ve shared a petition in our stories for those who would like to their show support 🤍

📺 He’s been with us for 44 Years. Now it’s our turn to support him. 🏆

If you grew up in the RGV, you know Tim Smith.

He tracked the storms that canceled school when you were a kid. For 44 years, he has been the calm voice in the storm for generations of Valley families.

Now, he is a top 5 finalist for National Weatherperson of the Year and we have a chance to say 'Thank You.'

Let’s pay back those 4 decades of service with 10 seconds of our time.

DOCUMENTARY OPPORTUNITY - San Juan Hotel

The Abandoned Atlas Foundation, in a partnership with the Hidalgo County Historical Commission, is currently working on a documentary about the history of the San Juan Hotel in San Juan, Texas. We are looking for people to interview with personal knowledge and/or memories of the hotel at any point in its history. If you or someone you know has a story to share, we would love the opportunity to hear it.
Examples include those who may have frequented the hotel before it closed in the '90s, attended conferences or events there, lived/stayed there, worked there etc. Please email with a brief intro and description of your connection to the hotel's history. We cannot guarantee that everyone will be interviewed, but we want to hear as many voices from the community as possible. Thank you! [email protected]
