What a nice surprise after block walking today! ❤️

We stopped by Luby’s to pick up some dinner when a young lady named Lilly came up to me and asked, “Are you Gary Groves?” I said yes, and she told me it was an honor to meet me in person 😊

I got to visit with Lilly and her mother for a little while and take some pictures with them. It was such a nice unexpected moment and a great way to end the day.

Good evening, everyone! 🇺🇸

I’ve had the opportunity to meet many law enforcement officers while out on the campaign trail. One of the greatest experiences I’ve had was being part of a group whose mission was simply to honor and show appreciation for law enforcement.

Over the years, I’ve met so many incredible men and women who serve our communities. Sometimes we would bring them large thank-you cards and cookies just to let them know how much we appreciated what they do. They were always so grateful for something as simple as a pat on the back and a heartfelt “thank you” for protecting us.

Our law enforcement officers are truly some of America’s finest. They do a difficult and often thankless job in service to their communities and our country, and I will always have their backs.

I back the blue and the green 💙💚 No matter what branch of law enforcement they serve in, they will always have my support on the campaign trail and when I’m in office.

God bless our law enforcement community and thank you for all that you do 🇺🇸🙏🏻💙

There are good days and tough days on the campaign trail, but moments like this remind me why we keep going. ❤️🇺🇸

Someone took the time to stop and clean up around one of our big campaign signs cutting back the tall grass and clearing away the vines that had started growing over it.

It may seem like a small gesture, but it means a lot when someone believes in you enough to take time out of their own day to help. These are the moments that make the long days, the heat, and all the hard work worth it.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us in ways big and small. We see it, we appreciate it, and we’re grateful. 🙏🏻❤️🤍💙

This has always been such a powerful verse and a great reminder that no matter what we face in life, we don’t face it alone. God gives us the strength to keep going, even on the difficult days.

I’m very grateful for all the blessings God has given us and for the many wonderful people we continue to meet throughout the RGV. Thank you to everyone who keeps our campaign, my family, and our team in your prayers. They truly mean a lot to us. 🙏🏻

🙏🏻 Another blessed day on the campaign trail! 🇺🇸❤️

We started our day in our campaign team chat with this scripture:

“All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.” — Proverbs 15:15 KJV

What a wonderful way to begin the day. We’re grateful to have a Christian campaign team that puts our trust in God and continually asks for His guidance. Knowing that we can turn to Him through every step of this journey is truly a blessing. 🙏🏻

As we’ve been out block walking, meeting people throughout our community, and worshipping together, so many of you have stopped to pray over us. Those moments mean more than you know. Your prayers lift our spirits, encourage our team, and remind us why faith is such an important part of this journey. ❤️

Campaigns can be difficult at times, but our shared faith and the encouragement we receive from fellow Christians throughout the RGV continue to give us strength and joy.

During this campaign, I’ve had so many people tell me that they want common-sense solutions to the issues we all face.

So, what do people mean when they say they want common-sense solutions? I think they’re saying they want solutions that make sense, aren’t overly complicated, and actually solve the problems affecting our families and communities.

One concern I hear over and over again is high property taxes. The Governor has proposed using part of Texas’ budget surplus to remove school property taxes from our homes. He also wants to limit how much property taxes can increase to around 3% or the rate of inflation, whichever is lower.

It’s a simple, common-sense approach to an issue that so many people are concerned about. I strongly support it and will vote for common-sense solutions that help provide real property tax relief for Texans.

We learn so much from our constituents while we’re out block walking. One thing we’ve been hearing a lot from people throughout our district is that they’re concerned about security.

Unfortunately, there is a growing movement in our country by socialists who are gaining power and pushing to defund the police and support open-border policies. We’re now seeing more socialists running for office across our state.

I stand for defending our police and securing our borders. I believe these are values shared by many people throughout our district and across Texas. I will fight for these values in Austin.

Our Founding Fathers gave us the Second Amendment so that people could bear arms to protect themselves against tyranny. As we’ve seen with so many tyrannical governments around the world, especially in socialist countries, one of the first things these governments do is take away people’s guns.

When people disagree with these tyrannical governments, they think nothing of killing those who oppose their regimes, even mowing them down with machine guns. This is how they maintain power and suppress dissent.

Beware of politicians who want to infringe upon our Second Amendment rights. History has shown all too often what can happen when governments restrict people’s right to own fi****ms tyranny can follow.

Another great morning in the 956, block walking before it gets too hot! 🥵☀️🇺🇸

I’m truly grateful to have a dedicated team willing to get out there with me in this heat, meet with constituents, listen to their concerns, and hear their ideas for solutions.

Many times, solving the issues our constituents face simply requires public servants who genuinely want to fix problems, have the common sense to listen, and are willing to work together to find the best path forward. To me, that’s what public service is all about.

Most importantly, I continue to ask God for His guidance, wisdom, and direction as I seek to serve others. 🙏🏻
