Joe Becker was a beloved firefighter who dedicated his life to serving the McCall community. His selflessness, compassion, and passion for helping others shone through in everything he did.

Today, we come together not only to honor Joe’s memory, but to continue the spirit of service that defined his life.

The Joe Becker Memorial Fundraiser supports our 501(c)(3) Community Fund, which provides assistance to local families enduring heartbreaking losses and helps support our community when people need it most.

This is about more than golf. It’s about remembering a great man, celebrating his legacy, and coming together as a community to help others. ❤️

The McCall Professional Firefighters are out **Filling the Boot** in support of the **Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)!** ❤️

If you see us out and about, stop by, say hello, honk as you drive by, and help us **Fill the Boot** for an incredible cause. Every dollar helps support individuals and families living with neuromuscular diseases while funding life-changing research, care, and summer camp experiences.

The members of McCall Professional Firefighters Local 4564 extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and the entire McCall Smokejumper community following the tragic loss of Smokejumper Luke Befumo on July 26.
We are sharing this fundraiser in the hope that our community can come together to support Luke's family during this incredibly difficult time. If you are able, please consider making a donation. On July 26, McCall Smokejumper Luke Befumo lost his life in a tragic accident on Payette Lake.

Luke served as a wildland firefighter for eight years, beginning his career on the Santiam River Handcrew with the Willamette National Forest. He later became a smokejumper with the Grangeville Smokejumpers in 2024 before joining the McCall Smokejumpers for the 2025 and 2026 fire seasons.

Those who knew Luke described him as “the best of us.” He excelled in every aspect of the smokejumper profession. On the fireline, he was highly professional, exceptionally capable, and always made it a priority to keep the morale of those around him high. His loss leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of his family, friends, the McCall Smokejumper community, and the entire wildland firefighting community.

Bikes, skateboards, scooters, and especially electric powered ones can reach speeds where a fall becomes life-changing. A properly fitted helmet is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect your child.

Trust us—we've been there. We've cared for these kids on some of their worst days, and we know firsthand how serious head injuries can be. We want to do everything we can to keep those emergencies from happening in the first place.

Stop by our booth at Liberty Fest and join us in this community-wide effort to get more helmets on more heads.

Because when it comes to protecting a brain, there are no second chances. Protect the adventure. Protect the smile. Protect the future. Protect your head. ❤️🚴‍♀️🛴⛑️

If you've ever had the privilege of meeting Amanda, you already know she's one of the kindest, hardest-working people around. What many people might not realize is just how absolutely badass she really is.

Amanda isn't just the McCall Fire & EMS District Office Administrator who keeps the wheels turning behind the scenes—she's also a trained Firefighter/EMT who steps up alongside our crews when the community needs her most.

Amanda wears more hats than most people could imagine—and she does it all with humility, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to serving others. We're incredibly lucky to have her - She truly is an invaluable part of our fire family.
