Please, help us in welcoming Elliott Thurlow. Elliot is a 23-year-old Sleeper/Student Paramedic with the McCloud Fire Department. Originally from Novato in the North Bay—where he began his education in EMS and public safety—Elliott is a two-year EMT and one of the newest Volunteer Ambulance Drivers operating out of Station 17 (Leatherman’s Hall).
Currently, Elliott is preparing for his first semester at the College of the Siskiyous. He is sharpening his skills by responding to 911 calls in McCloud and gaining invaluable, hands-on training alongside the department's full-time Firefighter Paramedics.
Outside of his shift work, Elliott closely follows extreme sports, with a primary focus on Freeride Skiing and Formula 1 racing. He also enjoys researching wildfire operations and planning. Growing up, he spent nine years playing competitive lacrosse from 4th through 12th grade.
Elliott’s ultimate goal is to master the skills and education required for a long, successful career in EMS, allowing him to serve as a vital asset to his community, and supporting the town of McCloud.
