Happy Sunday

I pray that each of you experiences God’s peace, comfort, and blessings. I especially appreciated Brandon’s message this morning during worship that God knows who we are, even when we may struggle to see it ourselves. What a comfort it is to know that our Creator sees our value, understands our struggles, and loves us completely.

May this day be a time of worship, reflection, and gratitude as we spend time with family, friends, and our church family. As we prepare for the work week ahead, may we carry God’s peace with us, trusting in His guidance and remembering that our identity is found in Him.

Wishing everyone a blessed, peaceful, and encouraging Lord’s Day.

Thank you Teri SP and Nate, I especially love the ones for my grandkids!

As a Common Sense Conservative, I believe elected officials should lead by example.

That’s why, if elected as Humphreys County Commissioner for District 6, I will donate 100% of all compensation paid to me as a County Commissioner back to the people of Humphreys County.

• 50% will be donated to our Volunteer Fire Departments, whose members selflessly answer the call at all hours to protect our families, homes, and communities.

• 50% will be donated to the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Department to support the men and women who work every day to keep our county safe.

Public service should be about serving the community, not collecting a paycheck. I am committed to putting my money where my mouth is and supporting the first responders who stand on the front lines for all of us.

This isn’t about politics—it’s about giving back to the county that Pam and I are proud to call home.

I would be honored to earn your vote for Humphreys County Commissioner, District 6.

I served 24 years in the U.S. Navy. Retired in 2017 as a Master Chief Petty Officer. I rode warships. CG’s, FFG’s, CVN’s, PC’s, MCM’s. My shipmates and I did not carry an M-4 and kick in doors. The men I memorialize today lost the silent battle alone at home:

Master Chief Petty Officer Ron Shasky
Chief Petty Officer Dale Park
Chief Petty Officer Shane Floding
Chief Petty Officer Keith Bemis
Petty Officer Kyle Ballart

All of you will forever be in my heart and prayers. I ask each of you take a moment and remember our Hero’s who made it home only to succumb to the demons within as well as the Hero’s who came home in a flag draped casket. God Bless all of you and God bless America.

Memorial Day is not a celebration.

It is not simply a long weekend, a cookout, or the unofficial start of summer. It is a day set aside for a grieving nation to remember the men and women who never came home.

Every freedom we enjoy today was paid for by Americans who gave their lives in service to this country. Empty seats at family tables across this nation are the true cost of liberty.

Tomorrow , we honor those heroes with humility, gratitude, and remembrance. We pray for the families who continue to carry that loss every single day.

May we never become so comfortable in our freedom that we forget the sacrifice required to preserve it.

God bless our fallen heroes, their loved ones, and the United States of America.
