Fairways NW HOA Day at the Movies! Star Wars : Rogue One

*This is event REQUIRES an RSVP and confirmation email to receive tickets on the day of the event. If you show up without a confirmation email from the HOA, you will not be given tickets. This is a limited capacity event.

Fairways NW HOA would like to invite you to a private screening of Star Wars: Rogue One! This event will consist of a pre movie social hour, raffle/giveaways, and a private viewing for our community! Tickets and concession vouchers are included, and will be handed out starting at 10:00 AM.

This event will be held at AMC Stonebriar on Saturday morning, December 17, 2016. The event begins with a social hour (when we will raffle off prizes) at 10:00 AM. Showtime is at 11:00 AM. The event will end at the conclusion of the movie at 1:30 PM.

Please RSVP and include the number of tickets requested for your household. *The number of guests per household may be limited due to high demand.

Names will be drawn on Saturday, December 10, 2016 if ticket requests exceed the number of available tickets. You will be contacted by the HOA social committee via the email address/contact info provided here by Sunday, December 11, 2016.

An OPEN BOARD MEETING is scheduled for Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 6:30PM at the Reserve Amenity Center. Items on the agenda include the proposed work at the pool/playground with plan presentation from the landscaper.

Westridge Master HOA is sponsoring a painting session at Wild Brush on Friday, September 25th, from 7pm - 9pm. Because space at the venue is limited, there is only space for 40 residents.

McKinney, TX

To maintain water quality, McKinney is scaling back the revised Stage 3 water restrictions for two months. Starting Monday Sept. 1, and until Oct. 31, landscape irrigation will be permitted once weekly on our regularly scheduled trash days.

National Night Out
Tuesday, August 5th, 5pm-9pm at Westridge Park (On Wild Ridge)
WestRidge Residential HOA will be sponsoring National Night Out Against Crime at the Master Park on Wild Ridge from 5pm-9pm on Tuesday, August 5th. All residents from the WestRidge Residential neighborhoods are invited and encouraged to attend. WestRidge Residential is the master association for the following neighborhoods:

Summit Fairways
Fairways North / Fairways West
Winsor Meadows
Eagles Nest / Marthas Vineyard
The Heights
The Greens
The Villas of Westridge

The WestRidge Residential Social Committee has registered with McKinney to have Police and Fire department participation. There will be informational pamphlets and "trinkets for the kids" provided by the McKinney Police and Fire Departments.
Kona Ice Rocks will be present and selling snow cones at a discounted rate.

We will have bounce house fun/entertainment for the kids (or kids at heart!).

We will have a variety of lawn/tailgating games.

Local vendors and sales representatives from the WestRidge community will be on hand to meet their neighbors.

If you are a vendor or sales rep in the Westridge community and are interested in sponsoring this event (advertising/promoting your business), please contact the Westridge Social Committee Chair at [email protected] for more information.

Note: As your Public Safety providers, McKinney Police and Fire Department personnel plan to attend as many activities as possible. However, because their primary responsibility is emergency response, they may have limited ability to schedule block parties due to emergencies that occur within McKinney on that evening. They sincerely appreciate your understanding.

McKinney, TX - Official Website - Water Restrictions

Starting July 1st, The City of McKinney will start using a Revised Stage 3 of the Drought Contingency Plan. This new plan changes when and how residents are permitted to water. It has listed restrictions on ET controllers and hand watering so everyone should take the time to review the details.

Even addresses: Addresses of homes and businesses with the last digit of 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 can water every other week on designated Tuesdays beginning July 1.

Odd addresses: Addresses of homes and businesses with the last digit of 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 can water every other week on designated Thursdays beginning July 3.

PARKING
The parking lot at the pool will be CLOSED all day to accommodate the bounce houses and Kona truck. We ask that as many people as possible WALK or BIKE to the pool. If you drive, please carpool if you can! Parking is VERY LIMITED on the side streets. Your BEST bet for parking will be along Sand Trap to the WEST of the stop sign, along Los Rios, and maybe a few spots on Mulligan. If you park on Double Eagle, please be careful! There are a lot of people that go down that road quite quickly!

We will start summer with a bang! Join us for shaved ice (provided by Kona Ice truck from 2:00-4:00), bounce house fun, pizza and drinks! Come out and meet your neighbors, say hello to your HOA board members, learn more about your HOA committees and enjoy yourself!
Kona Ice is guaranteed to be at the pool from 2:00-4:00. You will be given a ticket/voucher for your shaved ice purchase. To ensure you receive a voucher (they are limited), please RSVP with your current information. Kona will also serve shaved ice at a discounted rate during their time at the pool, and, depending on the crowd and their schedule, may stay late to serve any additional customers

McKinney, TX - Official Website - Water Restrictions

Residential Guidelines
Beginning June 1, 2013 the City of McKinney is in Stage 3 of the Drought Contingency Plan.
Landscape watering with an irrigation system is allowed one day a week if needed, and not between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. You can water on your residential trash pickup day. Find your watering zone
Commercial properties' watering schedules are determined by the residential trash zone where the property is located. Find your watering zone
Watering by hand, soaker hoses or drip irrigation is allowed for foundations and first year plantings of trees or shrubs up to two hours per day
No use of water that allows runoff or other water waste
No landscape watering during any form of precipitation
New landscapes may be watered as necessary for 30 days from the date of installation with proof of purchase or certificate of completion.
Registered and properly operated ET Controller systems may operate without day-of-week restrictions, but not between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Exact address of the location you are reporting
Date of the water violation
Time of day the violation occurred

Violating the Stage 3 water restrictions could result in a penalty. Penalties will be delivered through your regular water bill. Third and subsequent - $150

Water My Yard Program
A healthy landscape requires less water than you may think. The "Water My Yard" program has been established as a tool to assist you in determining an adequate amount of supplemental water that is needed to maintain healthy grass. The North Texas Municipal Water District, in partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service (AgriLife), launched this water efficiency tool at www.WaterMyYard.org. Enter your location and type of irrigation system, and the site will use current conditions to compute the amount of time your sprinkler system will need to run. You can also receive weekly emails.

Current Rebate Programs
ET Controller - $125 credit to your water bill
Rain / Freeze sensors - $25 credit to bill

Only retrofitted irrigation systems installed before 9/1/07 are eligible.
