Michael J. Little

Michael J. Little Michael is a 35 year old member of the Navy Individual Ready Reserves (IRR), with 16 years of Naval Service and 8 years of Government Relations experience.

Michael Little is a dedicated public servant, going through the ranks of the Boy Scouts of America as a youth, the United States Navy after graduating from High School, and becoming an active member of his community after leaving his Military Service.

Michael Little is a well-known advocate across the country for Military Suicide Awareness and Veteran Treatment within the Veterans Affairs Administration. Currently a 2nd Class Petty Officer in the Navy Reserves, he has served in the United States Navy for over 12 years as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Handler, serving aboard the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) and USS Tarawa (LHA 1), while on active duty, and multiple units while serving in the reserves. His military decorations include: Army Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Navy Sea Service Deployment with 1 Bronze Star, Navy Overseas Service Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” and “2” Devices, and NATO ISAF Medal, just to name a few. Petty Officer Little is also Air and Surface Warfare Qualified. He served two tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan as a Detention Operations Officer back to back while in the Reserves, serving under the command of the Army’s 303rd MP Battalion in Iraq, and 16th MP (Airborne) Battalion in Afghanistan, and is designated to wear the Airborne Tab, and multiple Army Combat Patches.
