How do epidemiologists investigate outbreaks and help prevent the spread of disease? 🦠

This TRAIN course introduces public health professionals to the fundamentals of infectious disease epidemiology and outbreak response. Participants will learn key epidemiology concepts, explore how diseases spread, review methods to break the chain of infection, and apply lessons learned through a food-borne outbreak case study. The course also covers basic surveillance practices and how to work with regional epidemiologists during outbreak investigations.

Our colleagues at Oregon Health Authority's collaborative Save Lives Oregon have officially launched 𝙅𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙊𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙤𝙣, a new statewide program that provides free nasal naloxone delivered directly to individuals anywhere in Oregon.

Naloxone can quickly reverse an opioid overdose and give someone a chance to survive. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘵.
