The feeling of belonging is strong with our almost 40 year member Scot Loyd!

Scot has been at the McPherson YMCA for almost 40 years and build a multitude of relationships throughout his time here. Some names he remembers and some he doesn’t. However, he is here almost every day bringing happiness, laughter and great vibes with him. To feel refreshed after working out at the YMCA and invigorated is what keeps him coming back.

A good night's sleep is one of the best things you can do for your health. This September, challenge yourself to prioritize rest by aiming for 100 hours of sleep throughout the month, or about 8 hours each night.

Labor Day (Monday, SEPT 7) is the final day of the YMCA's 2026 water park season. There's a reason people say time flies when you're having fun! If you didn't make a trip to visit one this summer (all four water parks are included with your Y membership), Summer 2027 will be here before we know it.

The Fall season is up next and the McPherson YMCA is ready to keep the excitement going.

🤸🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️Technique Tuesday!!!🤸🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️

Today we are talking about the technique for a Roundoff Back handspring Back Tuck! Thank you Katarina, one of Gymnastics Instructors, for being the voice for this technique!

Thank you to the young gymnasts that are here from McPherson YMCA putting their technique and skills on display for us to learn some moves!

In this video we thank the following ladies for participating: Ramsey Boltz, Steelie Boltz, Margaret Masar, Kora Montgomery, Aly Jo Rausch, Hannah VanEaton, Audrey Weimer and Cayla Weimer.

We offer Private classes, group classes, academy and teams, and if you are interested in getting your little ones signed up please stop by to get them signed up!

Holiday breaks, teacher in-service days, parent-teacher conferences – they can make school calendars feel more like pop quizzes for parents who have to find alternative care for their children (ages: 5-12, enrolled in kindergarten).

Thankfully, the McPherson YMCA takes the guesswork out of that very important decision.

Yesterday morning at Grant Field, the McPherson Recreation Commission (MRC) and the McPherson YMCA hosted their first day of games for Soccer ⚽️!!!!

GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL🥅!!!! It seemed like a blast for the little ones! If you have photos for our Fall I Sports please send them to us. McPherson Sports is where it is at! Don’t forget to come and join us!

Thank you to the parents, coaches, families, referees and site supervisors/directors out there making a difference in our kiddos lives! We appreciate you and all you do! Also, great big shoutout to the MRC for keeping our playing fields in tip top shape!
