As all of you may know, you never make an announcement until you have received the 3rd memo and usually, it is safe after that to post or announce ANYTHING. At first, we were going to open the testing sight at 1pm but Dr Craft, Toomey and Gov Kemp wanted them open earlier. SOOOOOOO, with that being said, we are supposed to start testing at 830 am on Monday BUT on top of all of that, a storm is coming. See, not only do we have to work with the virus but we also have to obey the weather. Ahhh the duties of Public Health. :-) We will keep you updated through facebook. The Health Department will remain open Mon Wed 8-5 and Friday until 12:30. Please be patient with us because one of our NP will be at the Health Dept and the other will be at the testing site. We are thankful for SCHD sending another NP to help on Monday. Y'all take care, and keep your nose and hands clean. :-)

Edit: *********you must have a number from the Hotline in order to ve tested. *********

The Telfair County Health Department (DPH) will be opening up a Drive thru Testing Site for COVID on Monday April 20, 2020 at Faith Baptist Church. Monday will start at 1pm but other days will be from 9-4. ( we will be setting up Monday am.)

It will be for those who have already contacted the hotline and have received a number from the triage nurses. They will not be tested if they do not have a GA# from DPH. Testing is free but must have a REFERRAL. It is for Telfair and surrounding counties.

Please be patient with us. We are following guidelines from the state and as you know, they may change like the wind.

Thanks so much for all you do in the community. Stay safe and wash your hands. 😊

If you need an appointment, please call 8687404. When you call, message or text our personal cell phones, we may not see it automatically. Also, if we tell you to come, our clerks may have told someone else to come at the same time, which causes a longer wait time. We try not to have our cell phones with us while we are seeing patients because as you deserve our attention, others deserve our attention as well. Please be considerate and call the office if you need appt, want to ask a question or need to speak to a nurse. We do check voicemail periodically throughout the day. We sometimes get 10 to 15 personal messages. We love all of our patients and want to serve the community as best we can, but if we are constantly answering our cell phone texts and messages we cannot give everyone the care they deserve.. Thank you for your understanding and thank you for choosing Telfair County Health Department.
