I am ready for some sunnier, colorful, warm days. I made this lil guy who is feeling dreary too. He is keeping his eyes on the flowers as a reminder that warmer days are near.

I want to share one of my most favorite art tips with you today. First I will start by sharing that one of my most favorite art processes is mark making. I also love the print making process. I get extreme joy creating “fodder” for mixed media pieces with these. They can become solo pieces and be part of my art journal as well. I sometimes (not always) have an idea of what I will use them for & add to them later to create a finished art piece. I will store what I don’t immediately use. This helps me be prepared with material when I am in a small creativity time slot or get inspiration. This was created with large bubble wrap I saved from a package I received. The paint is some my son created art with that I didn’t want to waste. I got to create much more than what is pictured. This photo is of my art journal, some greeting cards, & paper for collage or solo piece later. I will add to all of this later to create completed art. The best part is that the process of doing this is fulfilling in itself. 🥰

Tip: Use up paint to create bulk by gathering a variety of “canvases” beforehand for a variety of canvases & material to play with later. You also can use up any paint you don’t want to waste this way!

Trying a new “canvas”. This girl surprised me with her hot pink hair! She is confident in her crooked glasses and pout. I am having so much fun seeing who appears in my quick sketch style.

What is your favorite statement accessory? Is it earrings? Hats? Necklace? Makeup?
I love glasses. I think they can change a face & mood drastically with a shift of color & shape.
