We are in search of quality lesson horses for our programming in both riding and driving. The ideal riding lesson horse would be quiet and responsive at all gaits; be willing to perform schooling figures, trotting poles and cross rails; and adaptable to different riders. Physically horses should be younger than 15 years of age and ideally be at least 15 hands. Donation, partial donation or purchase are all options for suitable horses. ATI is also in need of a quiet and seasoned driving horse (all breeds considered).

Some of you may have noticed our new feathered friend. This mother mallard has chosen to build her nest in garden boxes tended by the Master Gardener Volunteers outside the Extension Office.
We ask that everyone give her and her little ones space as she nests and be on the lookout for ducklings crossing W. Washington in a few weeks.
She's doing well, and does not need assistance with food or shelter. The garden trellis added to our window boxes is meant to give her a bit of privacy, and she will leave the nest to feed when she needs to. While we appreciate your concern, it is not recommended to feed ducks human food, and uneaten snacks can attract scavengers that might disturb the mother and her nest.
However, if you have any fun name suggestions for our duck friend while she's with us, feel free to drop them in the comments below 😁🦆
