Have you heard of ISO?
It's kinda a big deal in the fire service, regardless of your local department being Volunteer, Combination, or Full-time, because we all are held to national standards, required to follow State law, and are held to the same ISO criteria.
We actually had an ISO auditor at our 2026 FIRE & EMS Workshop to explain their audit process and rating criteria.

Our meeting last night was LZ training conducted by Metro Life Flight.

MCFA members from Erhart Firefighter's Association / EYFD and Medina Fire Dept provided the LZ safety and chopper communications and were joined by members from Litchfield Fire and Rescue, Ohio and Westfield Fire and Rescue.

We were also joined by the Medina County Sheriff's Office, Ohio Explorers who were incredibly excited about exploring the helo and participating in the training!

Huge thanks to the Metro crew last night and Chief Flight Nurse Hughes for the training!

And huge thanks to MCCC for not only letting us use your building for our meeting but for also letting us land a chopper on the driving pad...which makes a perfect LZ!
