Campaigning is a humbling experience, but I’m so grateful the election results reflect the voices of our community. Thank you for the trust you’ve placed in me. I’m honored for the opportunity to step into this role as a member of the Melissa ISD board of trustees and serve our students, our families, and our community.

I have great respect for Dr. Bill Gray and his commitment to serving others and Melissa ISD.

To everyone who supported me, thank you. Your encouragement, your time, and your belief in this campaign mean more than I can fully put into words. And to our entire community, I’m committed to showing up, listening, and serving with intention.

I’m also really proud to share that I chose to use local vendors throughout this campaign. It felt important to pour back into the same community that shows up so big for our schools.

It’s Election Day! Strong schools happen when every decision starts with kids and reflects the needs of the entire community. That’s why I’m running.

School board service isn’t just about showing up. It’s about doing the work to understand what students, families, and educators need across every campus. Through my committee work, I’ve had the opportunity to engage in decisions that impact students district-wide.

I’ve been unanimously selected by the current board to represent elementary-aged students in key areas like reviewing library content, contributing to food services discussions, and helping shape priorities in recent bond planning. These roles require looking beyond one school or one group, and focusing on what’s best for all Cardinals.

Polls reopen Saturday 7a–7p. Are you an educator? Have you voted? I’d truly value your support.

School boards make decisions about curriculum, class sizes, schedules, and resources, things that directly shape a child’s day at school. Your perspective helps keep those decisions grounded, practical, and truly student-first.

Those decisions also affect your day-to-day, your time, your support, and the environment you’re working in. When teachers feel respected, supported, and heard, it creates more stable, positive classrooms where students can thrive.

I believe a strong district is built on great teachers who want to stay. That means reducing unnecessary burdens, supporting campus leadership, and making thoughtful, data-informed decisions that reflect real classroom experience.

When educators vote, it helps ensure decisions reflect both the needs of families and the realities inside the classroom.
