#𝙆𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜𝘿𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙙 | DNAmemphis.org ~ HAPPY 901 DAY, MEMPHIS! 🎵 Repairs are nearing completion at the Mud Island Amphitheater as they work on lunch list items to bring it up to ADA standards! New stage coating, concrete repairs, new hand rails and much more!

“The team and I with the Bring Back the Music: Mud Island Amphitheater movement have worked on this since 2020. And on this 901 day, it warms my heart to see this progress. But I must say this: PERSISTENCE and LEADERSHIP matter.” said Price.

Two historic buildings along Front Street in Downtown Memphis’ Historic Cotton Row District are getting a new lease on life after sitting vacant and neglected for decades.

The buildings at 48 S. Front Street and 64 S. Front Street have new owners who are planning to restore and breathe new life into these important pieces of Memphis history. (Daily Memphian)

Every historic building that is saved, restored and put back into productive use helps preserve the character that makes Downtown Memphis unique while creating new opportunities for investment, businesses, residents and activity.” said Downtown Neighborhood Association President, Jerred Price. There is still plenty of work to do throughout Downtown, but seeing long-neglected properties finally receiving attention and investment is certainly something worth celebrating. Preservation and progress can—and should—go hand in hand.
