Re: Tipton County Man Charged With Child Po*******hy, Narcotics and Unlawful Firearm Possession.
A months long investigation has led to an arrest warrant and search warrant being executed at 217 W. Rae Drv, off of Campground Rd., in Munford. The suspect, Cameron Sanders was arrested on the felony warrant away from the home and transported back for the ex*****on of the search warrant.
In December, Deputies were called to the residence in regard to the unlawful video taping of a juvenile. The mother of the juvenile reported that she had found hidden cameras in her daughter's bedroom and bathroom where Sanders was secretly videoing the juvenile while n**e. During the initial investigation, Deputies were able to obtain Sanders' cell phone and turned it over to Detectives.
Detectives began a very lengthy investigation, which included executing a search warrant on Sanders' phone. Due to the amount of digital evidence on the phone, Detectives requested the assistance of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Throughout the investigation, what was uncovered was very disturbing. Thus far, over 116,000 n**e/explicit images, over 4000 n**e/explicit videos, and over 9300 of suspected Child S*x Abuse photo/videos have been uncovered. Also located were 10 videos of the juvenile, in the shower, inside the home and over 2400 more photos and videos of other unsuspecting females. A search of the home also produced morphine, pills and 8 fi****ms stored with the illegal narcotics.
Cameron Sanders (33) of 217 W. Rae Drv., who is a nurse currently working within the medical profession, has been charged with Aggravated Unlawful Photographing of a Minor, Unlawful Photography, Solicitation of a Minor by Electronic Means, Possession of Schedule II Narcotic (Morphine and Hydromorphone), Possession of Schedule IV (Xanax and Lorazepam) and Unlawful Possession of Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony. As this investigation continues to unfold more charges may be forthcoming. He is currently being held on a $250,000 bond and is slated to appear before General Sessions Judge M.O. Eckel.
Sanders' case will also be presented for federal prosecution. We absolutely urge anyone that feels they may have information or that they may have been a victim, to please reach out to our detectives.
"I don't even know where to start," said Sheriff Shannon Beasley. "The allegations in this case are deeply disturbing and strike at the heart of our responsibility to protect our children and youth. The exploitation of children in any form is reprehensible. The fact that Sanders works in a profession entrusted with caring for others makes these allegations even more troubling. Let this serve as a reminder that those who prey upon or exploit our children have no place in our communities. We will use every resource available to protect our children and hold offenders accountable."
"I want to commend our Detectives for their diligent work in pursuing this case and this predator. I also want to thank the TBI and Homeland Security for their assistance in this case and appreciate their partnership."
