Marilyn, Jim, and I had a wonderful day out in Mendham connecting with our community.

We attended the Mendham Sidewalk Sale, participated in flag placement at Hilltop Cemetery, visited the Phoenix House to see the newly completed renovations funded through grant support obtained by Mayor Jim Kelly, and celebrated the grand opening of Morris Eye Associates.

Each stop was a reminder of what makes Mendham so special: local businesses, historic preservation, community service, and continued investment in the places that matter to our residents.

Grateful to be part of a community where people continue to show up, support one another, and help Mendham Borough thrive.

Yesterday, we stopped by a lemonade stand in Mendham raising funds for leukemia, and it was such a meaningful example of kindness in action.

Mayor Jim Kelly, Marilyn Althoff, and Marrie-Rose Garbacz were happy to support these young residents and their effort to help others. Their compassion, initiative, and desire to give back were truly inspiring.

This is the kind of local spirit that strengthens our borough. When our youngest residents lead with generosity and purpose, it reminds us that service is not just something we talk about, it is something we live in Mendham.

As we look back on the 2025 Harvest Hustle 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run, I am reminded of what makes Mendham such a special community.

I was proud to serve as the Harvest Hustle Coordinator, helping bring together families, students, volunteers, local businesses, school supporters, and neighbors for an event that directly supported our elementary and middle school students.

The Harvest Hustle has always been more than a race. It is a day of community spirit, school pride, service, and giving back. Seeing so many people come together for our children and our schools is one of the many reasons I love serving this community.

This meaningful event recognized May as Mental Health Awareness Month and supported important community programs, college scholarships, and initiatives that promote positive mental health.
