"Tom has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut and is a former Post Doctoral Fellow at the Connecticut State Department of Health. After 25 years of service, Tom retired from Colgate-Palmolive Company and took a position as the Director of Product Development for a privately held company called Envirochem, Inc. Education is a top priority in Tom's family and a top priority
for him in Piscataway. Tom and his wife Abigail have been married for 32 years and have three children ages 28, 25, and 23. from the University of Connecticut and is an early childhood education author and teacher. All their children attended Piscataway Public Schools preK through High School graduating in 2004, 2007, and 2009 respectively. After High School they all went on to attend Rutgers University. Tom's oldest son Matt graduated 'summa cm laude' from the Honors’ Program with a double major in Chemistry and Physics and went on to receive his PhD in Engineering form the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Tom's second son Steve graduated 'magna cm laude' from the Honors’ Program majoring in English and is currently working as a paraprofessional with Behaviorally Disabled children, and last, Tom's daughter Shannon graduated 'magna cm laude' with a degree in Psychology and received her M.Ed from the Graduate School of Education with a focus on teaching Middle School Math. Tom has been very active in the Piscataway Community. He is a former Soccer Club Executive Board Member and Coach, Little League Coach, Middle School Rec Basketball Coach, High School Athletic Booster Club Member, High School Superchief Band Parents Association Executive Board Member, and Township Environmental Advisory Committee Member."
