Jack Harding started Riverhead Irrigation after realizing the need for an environmentally responsible irrigation company. While studying at the University of Hartford Jack was working at Atlantic Irrigation, a leading supplier of irrigation, plumbing and lighting equipment, when he was first introduced to irrigation. He came into contact with dozens of contractors, small and large, while acting as a warehouse clerk and deliveryman. After graduating college Jack was employed by an irrigation company where he worked in four different states: CT, MA, RI, and NY. He was able to service and install a variety of irrigation projects including apartment complexes, equestrian rings and small agricultural plots. During these years he noticed how much water could be saved with a cared approach coupled with modern technology that was being developed. Jack’s devotion to water conservation has resulted in one of the leading irrigation companies in the area. Removal of 420' of poly main line. Piping was unable to handle the pressure from the source and was splitting as a result. The existing main line was removed and replaced with schedule 40 PVC. There was no accurate as built and the old sleeves had to be used to get access to the various planting islands.
