We're excited to share the 3D renderings for Jacob's Mission Community Center... including the new floor plan! This community center will be the first of its kind in the State of Arizona... dedicated to supporting our foster/adopt community. This new floor plan will include:
-A Multipurpose/Rec Room which will provide space for art classes, dance classes, karate classes, yoga and much more.
-A Sensory/Quiet Room to help calm children who easily become overstimulated due to their special needs and/or trauma history.
-A Professional Kitchen for catering events and holding cooking classes teaching important life skills to our youth who ultimately end up aging out of the foster care system.
-A Theater/Music Room for teaching drama classes, music lessons, holding gatherings and performances, as well as trainings for parents and advocates.
-A Resource Room where parents can go to learn more about the community resources available to them and their children, receive support in obtaining needed services, and assistance in filling out forms and applications from experienced staff and volunteers.
-A 24 hour Giving Closet where foster families can come to receive necessary clothing, baby items, formula, diapers, etc to help meet the immediate needs of taking a new child (or children) into their home... often times emergency placements arrive late at night and/or over the weekend when other resources are not open and available.
-Private Meeting Rooms for counseling and therapy sessions, after school tutoring, private music lessons and student practice/study space.
-ASA Now hosts several other foster/adopt community events throughout the year including support groups, trainings, parent night outs, monthly birthday celebrations, and social gatherings.
-The Community Center will provide many volunteer opportunities for organizations, individuals, families and teens throughout our community.
