He is coming to the Miami fair grounds on July 28th from 9 to 12 am to sharpen blades, scissors and work on clippers. Please spread the word so we can get him a lot of business. He can sharpen about 36 blades in that amount of time. If he has to take any back with him, he will mail them to you. I know I have 7 blades and a pair of clippers needing to be repaired. Sharpening is $5.50 to $7.00 per blade.

Does anyone need blades sharpened before the fair. I am trying to get someone to bring a mobile station down to Ottawa County to sharpen blades before the fair. Let me know if you are interested in this, the more we have the more likely it is he will come to our town.

All 4-H members who were at day camp got tickets to sell for a chance on a $100 Tractor Supply gift card and the officers also have chances on a$100 Wal-mart gift card. The money will be used to help with outfitting our new concession trailer. The drawing will be on Friday August 24. Thanks for all the support you give our members.

Our Awards Banquet is on July 31 at the Miami Civic Center. Please let the office know how many you plan to bring for our wonderful meal and a way to celebrate the hard work of our members. (RSVP to 918-542-1688)

The Officer garage sale is officially on for July 27, 28, and 29 at the Miami Fair Grounds in the Exhibition building. We need all the donations we can get to help them raise money for the officer trip. Thanks for your help.

The Ottawa County officers are going to have a garage sale later this month, we are taking donations for this event. You may bring items to the fair grounds over the next two days or on Monday between 6:30 and 8:00 pm. Thanks for helping the officers raise money for their Officer Trip this fall.

We have a special event on Friday for all 4-H families who can make it. We have the movie theater where we will get to see the new ICE AGE movie. You need to arrive no later than 12:45 because the movie will start at 1:00. The cost is $5 for children and students and $7 for adults. We need at least 50 people to make the theater happy. Parents or adults need to accompany any children who are not in our Terrific Day Camp this week because the sponsors will be busy taking care of the 30 plus 4-H members at camp.

Terrific Day Camp next Monday - Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Bring $5 per day, socks, swim wear, towels and sun screen along with your sack lunch. You should also bring 2 tee shirt that can be used for a project. Pleas bring pictures of your favorite projects areas. Look through the photography section in your fair book and bring pictures that will work and we will help you prepare them for the fair.
