🏠 Starting Monday, North Miami residents can apply for affordable housing at Lakeview at NoMi Apartments!

Beginning Monday, August 17, applications will officially open for the 34 affordable housing units available at Lakeview at NoMi Apartments, located at 13855 NW 17th Avenue.

The community features one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, along with amenities including a resort-style pool, fitness center, children’s playground, dog park, outdoor grilling stations, co-working spaces and more.

📅 Applications Open: Monday, August 17
📅 Applications Close: Monday, October 5
🎟️ Housing Lottery: October 15
🏡 Affordable Units Available: 34

The North Miami CRA, in partnership with the Greater Miami Service Corps, is accepting applications for the Housing Facelift Program. Eligible residents may receive home improvements including interior energy-efficiency and safety upgrades, as well as exterior painting and landscaping.

Applications are due Monday, August 31, 2026.

Applicants must live within the North Miami CRA boundaries, and the property must be their primary residence. Homeowners and renters with the property owner’s permission may apply. There are no income limits.

Eligible properties include:

🏡 Single-family homes
🏘️ Duplexes and multifamily properties with up to four units
🚫 Townhomes and condominiums are not eligible

Recipients will be selected through a lottery. Selected properties will receive an initial inspection before work begins, and all improvements will be completed by the Greater Miami Service Corps. The date for the lottery will be announced.

🏗️ : The North Miami CRA is helping move meaningful development forward in our community.

Solo Miami Development, LLC received an $850,000 Infrastructure Grant and a 50% Tax Increment Recapture Incentive, not to exceed $661,000 over the life of the CRA. The Solo Miami Residences project also includes five units reserved for residents earning 70% of the Area Median Income.

This investment supports quality housing, stronger infrastructure and continued economic growth in North Miami.

🏠Lottery Deadline Extended!!!

Applications are now open for the Prestige District Affordable Housing Lottery, offering eight affordable housing units at 13200 NE 7th Avenue in North Miami.

Eligible applicants must meet the published rental criteria, including income verification at 80% AMI, recent pay stubs, a background screening and no prior evictions. Electricity, water/sewer, internet and parking for one vehicle are included.

📅 Application Deadline: Wednesday, September 9th
🎟️ Housing Lottery: Thursday, September 17th
