In response to the expected hot temperatures, several cooling centers will be open throughout the City of Harrisburg on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, and Thursday, July 2, 2026, providing residents with a safe, air-conditioned environment to escape the heat.

These welcoming facilities will offer a safe, cool environment where residents can stay comfortable during extreme temperatures. Water and seating will also be provided for those who need relief from outside heat.
