As part of Monmouth Museum's exhibit Native Americans of New Jersey: Past and Present, specialized community workshops will be led by members of the tribal communities represented.
This evening (Friday, 7/31) from 6-8 PM, join Sand Hill Indian Historical Association Director and Middletown America 250 Committee member Claire Garland for an engaging exploration of mandalas and their significance across cultures, including their connection to Native American traditions. During the hands-on portion of the program, participants will create their own mandala-inspired artwork using traditional symbols and natural themes.

As part of the Monmouth Museum's Native Americans of New Jersey: Past and Present exhibit, historian and educator Claire Garland will lead an interactive workshop exploring the cultural significance of mandalas, including their connection to Native American traditions. Participants will create their own mandala-inspired artwork while learning about symbolism, balance, healing, and our connection to nature and community.
The exhibit showcases artifacts, artwork, and educational displays that highlight the rich history and lasting contributions of New Jersey's Native peoples.
