***Working Fire***
Early this morning, around 0230 hrs dispatch received a call stating a house fire in Company 4s first due. Arriving chiefs found fire out of the second floor. A working fire assignment was sounded bringing in Company 7 as a second due truck. LT 7 went to the roof to assist with over haul and ventilation.

This is the 3rd house fire in two days for Company 7. We can not stress enough how SMOKE DETECTORS SAVE LIVES. Please make sure you have working smoke alarms as well as carbon monoxide alarms in your home and business. Any questions please DM or ask any MTFD member.

***2nd Alarm & 2 Fires***
On 4/29/25 Dispatch started receiving multiple calls for a house on fire on Hudson Avenue in the East Keansburg section of town. With a large column of smoke the working fire assignment was transmitted. Arriving crews were faced with heavy fire and fire spreading to the bravo exposure. Chief Morrisey ordered a second alarm. LT 7 responded on the working fire assignment. Upon arrival the truck went to work searching the exposure, then attempting to search the fire building. Crews were forced out due to heavy fire. 7 assisted in extinguishing the fire and overhaul. While picking up, another reported fire was sounded on Evans lane. LT 7 was ordered to respond with covers from and . Multiple calls were starting to be received. Engine 11 arrived and found a small exterior fire in the rear. 7 preformed searches and overhaul. Fire was quickly contained. Upon heading back to quarters dispatch again began receiving multiple calls for a brush fire that had extended to cars on Chestnut lane. Due to still being committed to the Hudson Ave job, LT 7 picked up the run. Upon arrival a small grass fire was found and contained due to a garbage truck pulling down multiple power lines. As always our hearts are with all affected residents. We would like to thank our mutual aid partners for covering town and assisting us. Just a reminder that all Middletown Companies are staffed by all volunteers, dedicating their time.

***Working Fire***
On Sunday April 20th, around 1620 hours dispatch began to receive multiple calls for a house on fire in the area of Henry Drive. A working fire assignment was transmitted for a home on Irwin Drive. Chief Kelly arrived to find heavy fire in the rear and heavy smoke throughout the residence. Engine 3, Ladder 7 arrived simultaneously. 3 stretched a line to the rear while 7 began searching for victims. Multiple pets were found and brought from the residence. responded as well as Station 5 as RIT. Addition engines were requested from and .The fire was quickly brought under control without injuries to firefighters. One resident was treated for smoke inhalation. Unfortunately multiple pet dogs were unable to be revived. Our hearts go out to the affected family. Thank you for the assistance from our brother companies.

***Medal Day***
On Monday March 10th, FF Joshua Cheatum received a Medal Of Valor. 3 years ago Company 7 was dispatched for a confined space rescue. FF Cheatum was the first arriving officer and established command. Through training and experience, FF Cheatum played a vital role in preventing further harm to the public by securing the very chaotic scene. Upon arrival of Special Services, FF Cheatum chose himself to enter the confined space, which very high levels of toxic gases were being detected in a vey small space, in an attempt to make a rescue. Ultimately, the patient was removed due to FF Cheatumโ€™s effort. FF Cheatum represented the very best of the fire service showcasing bravery, sacrifice, and courage in the face of danger. The members of Company 7 would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to one of our own. Last night FF Shane Branin graduated from Firefighter 1/2 class at the Monmouth County Fire Academy. FF Branin has been around since he was a young lad, following the rigs to runs. He has taken some iconic photographs of the MTFD over the years. Congratulations FF Branin!
