So there I was…
Moving thousands of miles away from home, for my first duty station, and engulfed in a new atmosphere and culture.

First hand, I learned how difficult (and fun) the transition to island can be! After all, everyone KNOWS what it takes to drive a car... and that you must have a hard paper copy of the car insurance in your vehicle at ALL times, in order to get a safety check on your vehicle, in order to register your car, and finally in order to legally drive your vehicle on the road… right? Well, I surely didn’t know that among thousands of other things.

So here WE are wanting to connect military families to the island way and share each others' knowledge, recommendations, social norms, and etc to help another fellow Veteran out.
