The count down is on folks, come join us for a fun filled day watching our 2nd Annual MFD FIRE GAMES on October 4th at the Millerstown Community Park.
Come see the men and women put their strength to the test. 30 participants testing their strength, including pulling a fire truck!
There will be food and drinks prepared and sold by Supporting Our Heroes of Central Pennsylvania.

Today the Millerstown Fire Department prepared 100 dozen ears of corn we had Raccoon Valley Farm grow for us. We are gearing up for our delicious homemade chicken corn soup at Christmas at the Park in Millerstown on December 5th from 11-6pm.
Huge Thank You to all the firemen and Ladies Auxiliary members for all their hard work. We were able to get 100 dozen finished quickly this year because we had purchased a 2nd Corn Creamer machine from Holt's Manufacturing. Thank you Cecil Holt for your clever invention! You make doing corn so much easier and faster. RIP Cecil !

Members went to the river Monday evening to brush up and teach newer possible drivers on learning the pump on the Utility.

4 members of MFD attended training this past weekend at the PA State weekend at the National Firefighters Academy in Emmitsburg, MD. Firefighter Mike Cox took a class on Initial Response to Terrorist: Basic Concepts. FF's Braydon Little, Grace Matter and John Matter took a class on Strategy and Tactics for Initial Company Operations.
They also attended the PA Fallen Fighters Memorial that is held yearly to honor and pay tribute to those who lost their lives, within the past year, while working in the line of duty. FF Cox got to be included in the memorial for his first chief that he served under, George "Bud" Turner of the West Whitland Fire Co.

The Perry Valley Grange Youth Leadership Committee was proud to donate multiple cases of bottled water to the Millerstown Fire Department to help keep our local heroes hydrated during these hot summer months. 🚒💙
