📱 Millville High School Phone Policy: 2026–2027 School Year

Hello Millville High School Community! As we prepare for the upcoming school year, Principal Jaime Sutton shares an important update regarding our new Bell-to-Bell Device Policy and our partnership with Yondr.

In compliance with New Jersey State Law, all personal electronic devices—including cell phones, smartwatches, wireless headphones, and other personal electronics—must be secured in a Yondr pouch from arrival to dismissal. By eliminating digital distractions, we aim to reclaim instructional time, improve student safety, and foster deeper face-to-face connection.

🔑 Key Information for Families & Students:

Pouch Distribution: Students will receive their Yondr pouch on the first day of school.

Daily Routine: Every morning upon arrival, students will power off (or switch to airplane mode) their devices, place them in their pouch, and lock it. Pouches will be checked by administration as students enter.

Unlocking: Students will unlock their pouches at the end of the school day at designated unlocking stations near the exits. Students in after-school sports, clubs, or fine arts will unlock their pouches before attending their activities.

Emergency Safety: During any emergency, standard safety protocols will be followed, and parents will be notified via SchoolMessenger®.

📢 Student schedules are officially available in your student portals!

Need to make a change? Schedule modifications are allowed only for specific, qualifying reasons. Please review the guidelines below before reaching out to guidance.

✅ ALLOWABLE CHANGES (YES)

- Seniors: Adding early release or late entry (must have portfolio process completed & maintain 3 classes per semester).
- Teacher Reassignment: Reassigned to a teacher whose class was previously failed.
- Schedule Upgrade: Replacing an elective course with an academic course.

🚫 NON-ALLOWABLE CHANGES (NO)
- Requests based on teacher preference.
- Requests based on period/time preference.
- Dropping Advanced or AP classes.

📩 Next Steps:
If you qualify for an allowable change, please email your counselor to schedule an appointment during the first week of school.

⏰ Important Deadline: The absolute last day for any 1st-semester schedule changes is September 14th.

Calling all incoming freshman! Join us on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 PM for Freshmen Orientation! 💙

Come get important information to help you prepare for your freshman year, take a tour of the building, and get your freshman picture taken for your student ID. 📸 Students need a student ID to attend school events such as dances and sporting events. It is FREE to have their picture taken to receive a student ID.

📌 Reminder: Please dress appropriately for your student ID picture! You’ll want to look your best. 😊
