We will have a table set up, starting today, to drop off any school supplies and a jar to drop off donations. We are hoping to raise $1000 and be able to drop off a ton of stuff for these kiddos to start school with!

Hi Mr., El-Amin,
We wanted to thank you and the New Horizon Center (NHC) for being a wonderful mentor and support network. Vera and I have really enjoyed the experience we had together and cannot wait to take this knowledge to our next chapter in life. We will especially miss the memorable experiences we had orientating new foster parents. While we will not be in the office anymore, we would love to stay in touch and possibly meet up for coffee the next time we are in the area.
Our supervisor Ms. Jordan taught us especially important things that go far beyond the academic knowledge taught in school. The assignments we performed during our internship allowed us to apply our school learning in a real-world environment and we managed to develop the life and problem-solving skills by interacting with clients and other team members. We learn the importance of teamwork in the success of a project. You and the rest of the team were friendly, caring, and offered us ongoing support throughout our internship. This experience was extremely rewarding, and we have gained valuable insight into the foster care system. Most importantly, we learned to listen meticulously to clients, this enabled us to better suffice their needs.
Respectfully
Vera Williams & Ronald Beyah
