Wisconsin Conservatory of Music: Piano Department The piano is the most versatile of all musical instruments and its capacity to add harmony to melody is enjoyed by all. It is an invaluable first instrument for beginning music study and understanding basic music fundamentals and theory.

The 3rd Annual Piano Sonata Festival is TODAY at the McIntosh|Goodrich Mansion, 1584 N. Prospect Ave. All events are free and open to the public. Judges include Conservatory Piano Faculty Kayme Henkel, Drew Donica and Teresa Drews as well as our guest adjudicator, Winston Choi of Roosevelt University.
Schedule:
Recitals 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00.

Results from the competitive portion will be announced at 3:30 and also published on this page and the Conservatory's main page.

Piano Sonata Festival – Wisconsin Conservatory of Music

We are thrilled to be hosting our 3rd Annual Piano Sonata Festival at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music on Saturday, January 30, 2016! All area piano students from ages 8-18 are encouraged to participate in this unique event which will feature adjudicated recitals and a master class with our guest adjudicator, Winston Choi of Roosevelt University. We have both a competitive and non-competitive division for students aged 8-14 and a competitive division for students aged 15-18. All students prepare 2 memorized pieces: any sonata or sonatina movement and a contrasting piece.
