Caucutt is exhibited alongside legacy artist Virgilyn (Virgi) Driscoll and UWM Art Ed alumni from the past 66 years! First Stage’s production of ON THE WINGS OF A MARIPOSA is a celebration of Mexican culture and traditions, particularly of the spiritual and colorful Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead.

First Stage will celebrate Día de los Muertos at the Todd Wehr Theater with a Mercadito – Artisan Market – hosting local artisans who will sell their handmade products. Artisans include: Ceci Tejeda, Linda Serna, Yesica Coria, Iuscely Flores, Mi Salgado, Lila Saavedra, Nochtli, alida cardós whaley, Brenda Brambila, Yessica Jiménez and Leilani López.

The Mercadito will be open from noon to 5:30 pm on Saturday, October 26, and noon to 3:30 pm on Sunday, October 27.

Latino Arts Strings Program students and their director Dinorah Márquez will play traditional Mexican songs from 2:30 to 3:15 pm on Saturday, and from 12:10 to 12:50 pm on Sunday.
