If everything goes as planned, I will be defending my dissertation with my mentor and two committee members by the end of the year. Lord, help me with this step because I know I will be so freakin nervous. After defending my dissertation, I will be finished with my PhD after approval from the Dean. BOOM! I am 98% done with this challenging Ph.D. journey, and I can hardly believe how far I've come. After countless hours of research, writing, and overcoming numerous obstacles, I am finally nearing the finish line. This Ph.D. has tested my perseverance, creativity, and resilience in ways I never imagined. From grappling with complex problems to navigating the ups and downs of productivity slumps, every step has been a learning experience. I’ve expanded my knowledge deeply in my field, collaborated with others, and pushed through moments of doubt and fatigue. Now, with just a small fraction left to complete, I feel a tremendous sense of accomplishment and excitement for what lies ahead. The finish line is in sight, and I’m ready to cross it with pride!

I am finally writing chapter 5, which is the last chapter of my dissertation. After I finish the last chapter, my mentor has to approve it; then 2 Committee members have to approve it; then I have to defend the dissertation; and finally, the dean has to approve it. So I still have several steps I have to take before walking across the stage. My goal is to have my Ph.D completed by March next year.
