Our mission is to promote the independence of individual with disabilities by providing information and support to them, their families and their service providers in the areas related to, but not limited, to education and health.
Nuestra Misión es la de promover la independencia de personas con discapacidades proveyendo información y apoyo para ellos, sus familias y sus proveedores de servicio en las areas relacionadas pero no limitadas a la educación y la salud.

Our partners at ALAS, Inc.- ALAS have lots of events for families planned throughout June! The next event is a Family Activity on Saturday June 18th. Head over to their page on the 18th to get instructions on how to complete the family activity.

ALAS, Inc.- ALAS coordinated a back to school event outside to distribute backpacks and school supplies to their families. ALAS' families were able to participate while social distancing and following CDC guidelines.

ALAS, Inc.- ALAS partners with Bader Philanthropies KiwiKids program to offer their families with weekly meal boxes. Each box contains the 7 servings of breakfast and 7 servings of lunch for each child in their family. Each Thursday evening at ALAS, families gather in the near southside of Milwaukee to receive their food boxes while observing social distancing and following CDC guidelines.

If you're looking to make a lifestyle change for the better this is a great place to start learning about nutrition, stress management, healthy cooking and physical activity. The workshop is designed to help families understand that there are alternatives to guardianship, the difference between guardianship and supported decision making and the next steps so you can use supported decision making.
