Hello. We heard from Patty and she is doing well and hopefully will be back with us in a few weeks. Lucy, who is in treatment, has been in touch with us daily and is doing great! She has reached her 2 month sobriety date and we are so proud of her. We are looking forward to coming back to us.

We will be taking off the week between Christmas and New Years so if you wish to contact us during that time, call Sandra at (612) 871-7858.

We are back and are hoping to be more faithful about updating you on our activities. We had a very thought-provoking day today! Patty is in the hospital and it took us all some time to reconcile our feelings of sadness. She is going to be okay but won't be back with us for a while.

At lunch, we got into this great (and intense) discussion about generational racism. It is good what we can learn from each other.

We have been to several holiday markets this season and we are running out of art! While this is a good problem to have, it also puts us in a "hurry up" mode to prepare for the next show. We will be at and art show at the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove this coming week-end. We will be in the old Border's is located at the east end of the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes at Hemlock (Highway 61) and Elm Creek Blvd. If you are doing some last minute shopping, this is the place to be!

All of us were at the studio at 4:30 this morning so we could go live on KSTP. We have already worked a full day so we are heading out. Thank you for your support on this Give to the Max" day.

As part of KARE 11 Day of Sharing to honor 11.11.11, KARE 11, we were honored with an $1,100 grant for our outstanding work in the commmunity. Thank you, KARE 11!

I Love a Parade is a part of their day long celebration so stay tuned to KARE 11 on Friday, 11.11.11, as well as kare11.com, facebook & Twitter.

We celebrated Sandra 69th birthday today. We all sang Happy Birthday (somewhat off-tune) and then had our friends and husbands (with better voices) call to serenade her! We also put our money together and bought her a car wash... we are a little embarassed to ride with her in her old dirty hoopty!

We had a very interesting day today. First up, we had breakfast and presented our program at the Eastside Coop gathering of the NE businesses/non-profits. Great muffins!!!
Then, Holly from WCCO came in for a story to be aired on "Give to the Max" Day morning show. Later, an interview with Jeffery from KARE 11 which is going to be shown tomorrow!

Rachel just started here and is taking Lucy place while she (Lucy) is in treatment.
She is a charm and expecting her first child. Patty was diagnosed with diabetes and is home with bronchitis today. She has been having a rough time but it doesn't seem to change her lovely sense of humor!

Our big event is over and we were very pleased with the results. Thanks to all of you who helped and atttended. Now we are getting ready for the holiday season. This week has been unusual busy getting ready for our big event at the Capri Theater. We invite all of you to join us. We promise a good time... a few laughs.. lots of silly and short speeches. AND WE WILL BE GIVING AWAY A NEW iPAD! But you must be there to win! It begins at 10:00 on Saturday morning. The address of the theater is 2027 West Broadway in North Minneapolis (Oliver and Broadway). It can be a little tricky so there will be balloons at the entry of the building and I Love a Parade is noted on the marquee. Hope to see you Saturday! Snacks will be served!

Hello! What a cool day.. literally and otherwise. We received a lovely grant from the WCA Foundation for which we are very grateful. Our official invitations for our October celebration were delivered today and they will be going out soon. See it on our web site ... iloveaparade,org. It will also be posted here tomorrow.
