"Minneapolis Libertarians" is an organization seeking to promote libertarian ideas and solutions, serve as a way for residents to connect with each other, and bolster the ability of Libertarian candidates to achieve strong results in city races. We've known that Mpls has the highest concentration of Libertarian supporters of any city in Minnesota. That's true! But to date, that base has yet to be
called upon. Until now. This project is a collaboration between three of the Libertarian Party of Minnesota's superactivists: S.L. Malleck, LPMN Policy Director & former 10-year LPMN State Vice Chair (Ward 10), Lana Fanger, Local Coordinator for Gary Johnson 2016 (Ward 11), and Spence Fasching, Metro Lakes Libertarians CD5 Affiliate Vice Chair (Ward 12). As Libertarians, we believe that each individual should be free to live their own lives as they choose, and to earn or spend their own money as they choose, so long as they don't infringe upon the equal right of others to do the same. We believe that people will be happier and more secure when they can exercise choice in their own lives and earn their own living without interference from politicians and bureaucrats. It is our goal that society become more peaceful and prosperous without the strife that arises when some try to control others by using the force of government. We understand that in order to have freedom for ourselves, we must be willing to stand up for the freedom of our neighbors as well, even if we may not always agree with the choices they make. We believe that the initiation of force is wrong in all cases, even when undertaken by city government. Libertarians support personal freedom, strong civil liberties, a genuinely free marketplace, and peace. Libertarianism is a philosophical and political movement in support of individual freedom on all issues, all the time!
