Saturday was literally the best day!
Congratulations to all 26 teams from Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and Saint Paul Parks and Recreation for their collaboration, attention to detail and hard work!
1st Place: Hazel Park Recreation Center, Saint Paul
2nd Place: Audubon Recreation Center, MPRB
3rd Place: Northwest Como Rec Center, Saint Paul
Best Looking Car: Hazel Park for their Batmobile!
962 Sportsmanship Award: Peavey Recreation Center, MPRB!

Teams from Minneapolis and Saint Paul have been working since April to learn new skills, create friendships and build towards today's Derby! Come cheer them on as they race for the trophy!

Soap Box Derby teams are working hard on their cars before race day on Saturday, May 31! Here's a peek at the Whittier Park team working in their recreation center last week.

Cheer on teams from across Minneapolis Parks as they race with teams from Saint Paul Parks and Recreation at Deming Heights Park, 1115 St. Anthony Parkway, on May 31. Races start at 10:30 am and the finals are scheduled at 1 pm. Fun fact: Deming Heights Park is the highest natural point in the city of Minneapolis.

Get ready for a double whammy of E-Sports awesomeness! 🤯 This summer, we're taking over Minneapolis on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 with Next Gen Gaming Sessions! Think latest games, side quests, versus, and open play - the gaming trifecta! 🎮 And drumroll please... we're celebrating National Video Game Day on July 8th at Bryant Square and North Commons! 🎉 Expect snacks, tunes, and a whole lot of fun! So, who's ready to level up their summer? 🤔

Robot rebels wanted! 🤖 Our little innovators robotics class is the secret lair where 6-9 year olds can unleash their tech-tastic powers, learning robotics, autonomous tech, and coding in a super chill, no-stress environment! Classes are going down on Thursday July 17th with a morning mission at North Commons, and an afternoon op at Kenny Park!
