It's the Dewey Decimal number of the week! 428 - Grammar. This category contains books on how to write, speak, and read the English language. Demystify grammar or learn fun facts about language!

The library's nonfiction collection is organized by the Dewey Decimal system. This numeric "code" groups books together by topic in order to make browsing easier. Knowing the numbers, however, is not so easy! So please tune in every week as we demystify and highlight a new number.

Registration is now open for an exciting NEW Plein Air Pastel art class at The Potocki Center for the Arts!

Step outside the studio and into nature! Join long-time instructor Carol McAlester along the scenic Oso Creek Trail as you explore plein air painting with chalk pastels. You will learn how to capture light, color, and atmosphere directly from life while working outdoors in a relaxed, supportive setting. Easels are provided, and this class is designed for students who have already taken a pastel class and are comfortable with the basics. A supply list will be emailed prior to the start of class.

Tuesdays, Mar 3-24 | 10am-noon | Fee $140
