Today, our hearts are filled with pride and gratitude. ❤️

Harry Shimotsu Elementary has earned an A in the 2026 State Accountability Ratings, along with distinctions in Postsecondary Readiness and Top 25%: Comparative Closing the Gaps.

This recognition joins the many accomplishments our Rattlers have celebrated this year, from being named a Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase School, an Honor Roll School, to the Governor’s Lone Star Ribbon School.

Each recognition tells a piece of our story, but none of them happened overnight. And even as we celebrate, we remain grounded. 🙂

An A, an award, or a designation does not mean we have arrived. It reminds us of what is possible. There is still work to do. Because while the recognitions are something to be proud of, who we are becoming together will always matter most.

To our students, staff, families, and community: THANK YOU. This belongs to all of us. ❤️

What an incredible evening at the 1st Ever SISD Family Fun Fest! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to all of our students, families, staff, and community members who joined us for a night filled with laughter, fun, and connection.

Not even the rain could stop the excitement! In fact, it made the evening even more memorable. As the rain fell, so did the worries of the day, reminding us that every new beginning comes with an opportunity for renewal, growth, and possibility.

Together, we celebrated what makes Sharyland ISD so special, ❤️ our people, our spirit, and our commitment to creating meaningful experiences for our families.

💙Rattler Recognition 🌟 Celebrating Excellence 💙

Today we proudly recognize Santiago Torres Rodriguez for an unforgettable achievement on the international stage! ⚽🌎

Santiago traveled to Lima, Peru to compete in the Copa América Infantil, where he proudly represented Team USA for the very first time while playing in a higher age division.

Even more special, he shared this incredible experience alongside his father, José Francisco Torres, a former professional soccer player who represented the United States at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. What an amazing role model and source of inspiration!

Santiago, your dedication, courage, and passion for the game are taking you to incredible places. We are so proud of you for representing your family, your team, and our community with excellence.

Congratulations on this remarkable milestone. We can’t wait to see where your journey takes you next!

Our patio garden has quickly become one of our students’ favorite little spots at Shimotsu 🌱🍅

They love the outdoor play, but they also make sure to stop by the garden to check on their plants, water them, and proudly monitor every little change like tiny garden supervisors 😄

There’s something so special about watching curiosity grow through nature. And this week, we celebrated a very exciting milestone… our very first tomato! ❤️🍅

What a night to remember 💙✨

Our Mother-Son Dance was filled with so much joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. From the dance floor to the big smiles (and some impressive moves!), it was truly a special evening for our families.

A huge thank you to our amazing SPTSO for making it all happen. We appreciate all the love and effort you pour into creating these beautiful memories for our school community.

Safe to say… the boys definitely brought the energy to the dance floor. 😄

At the SISD Elementary Relays, our boys earned 1st place and our girls finished 2nd place. What an amazing accomplishment! 🏆

We are also proud to share that records were broken, showcasing the dedication, talent, and hard work of our students.

We couldn’t be more proud of the effort, teamwork, and heart our athletes displayed. Outstanding job to everyone involved! ❤️
