Enjoyed my visit to the U.S. Grant Presidential Library on the campus of Mississippi State University and meeting with University President Mark Keenum. The collection of historical documents and artifacts from Grant and Lincoln is magnificent. If you haven’t visited and taken your children, please plan to do so. This is one of our States most incredible places.

Congratulations to Senator Tommy Tuberville on his victory in the Republican primary for Governor of Alabama.

Alabama continues to play an important leadership role across the Southeast in economic development, workforce growth, infrastructure, and business expansion. Deborah and I are saddened by the loss our friend Dan Fordice. We met many years ago when we were campaigning for his father. I always believed Dan could have been Governor someday had he chosen to run. Like others, I truly enjoyed my flight with Dan in the P51. We laughed and enjoyed every minute of flight in one of the most iconic Airplanes of WW2. He was a special man who loved his family, served his country and honored his parents. Today he walks the streets of glory with them both. Our prayers are with Ann Claire, Nathan, Alaina, and Erin.

Today marked the final meeting of the FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency Review Council. Grateful for the opportunity to serve and work alongside dedicated leaders focused on strengthening disaster preparedness, improving response coordination, and ensuring communities recover faster and stronger. America deserves a FEMA that is efficient, accountable, and ready to serve when disaster strikes. No one believes this stronger than President Trump. I appreciate The White House for this appointment and its vision for this council.
