🥁✨Unearth a Story—One Beat at a Time! Starting the week of June 22-25, Johannes Quilitz facilitates high-energy and hands-on drum circles at libraries, schools, festivals and other venues nationwide. This is not a show -- audience members are the performers, and participants get to play a drum or a hand-held percussion instrument throughout the program. Johannes guides everyone -- including non-drummers -- into an energetic and uplifting rhythm, with the ultimate goal of building community unity.

Drumming is fun! Bring the whole family, and join your friends and neighbors in an uplifting musical journey facilitated by Johannes Quilitz. This is not a drumming show -- you are in the band! All instruments are provided, and no previous experience is necessary.

The Mobile Public Library had a great week of special performances!

We kicked things off with Story Ship Presents "Diggery's Dinosaur Adventure," an interactive show that delighted audiences of all ages. We also enjoyed a fantastic performance by Mobile's own Excelsior Band, one of the city's greatest jazz bands.

♟️ Congratulations to the winners of the Semmes Regional Library Chess Tournament held on June 6, 2026!

We had a fantastic turnout, with eight players competing in the opening rounds and two exciting showdown matches to determine the champions.
